It’s truly designed as a destination for athletes and sports enthusiasts, and let me tell you, it delivered on all fronts for a day of family fun in Philadelphia!

The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with special sports-related activities set up just for Father’s Day. It was such a thoughtful touch that immediately got the kids excited.
At the first table, our little artists got to work. They were given plain golf balls and a rainbow of markers, tasked with designing custom golf balls for Dad. The creativity was flowing, and the idea of Dad using one of their hand-decorated balls during his summer rounds of golf brought huge smiles to their faces! This was such a unique way to create personalized golf gifts.
Right alongside the golf balls were hats that the kids could design and color for Dad. These weren’t just any hats; they were destined to become Dad’s new favorite golf course necessities, filled with love and colorful scribbles from his biggest fans. It’s these small, personalized touches that make a gift truly special.

After perfecting their artistic masterpieces, we ventured further into the store, and it quickly became clear that DICK’S House of Sport is far more than just a retail space. It’s an interactive sports playground!
The putting green immediately drew us in. Equipped with golf clubs of all sizes, it was perfect for our entire family to try their hand at putting. Dad, with his patient demeanor, naturally stepped into the role of golf instructor, giving the kids quick putting lessons. The competitive spirit (and a lot of laughs!) filled the air. Beyond the putting green, they also have impressive golf simulators, which looked like an amazing way to test out new clubs or just enjoy a virtual round – definitely on our list for a future visit!
Our youngest, Chip, was captivated by the cornhole setup. He loved practicing his throws, and it was adorable to see his focus as he aimed for the board. It’s great when there’s something engaging for every age.
But the ultimate thrill, especially for our oldest, 6-year-old Chase, was the rock wall. He’s always up for an adventure, and he absolutely LOVED climbing to the very top and ringing that triumphant bell. It’s fantastic to see a store offer such a dynamic and physical activity for kids!
