I am thrilled to welcome you to The Modern Mom, a brand new blog where I’ll be sharing family-friendly travel and local excursions, with a special focus on the city of Philadelphia and its surrounding areas, and lots of memory making activities. My name is Jill, and I couldn’t be more excited to embark on this new adventure with you.
Before we dive into our family escapades, let me tell you a little about myself and our family. I’ve been married to my husband, Matt, for seven years but we have been together for 13. I truly believe in love at first at sight and feel so extremely fortunate to have him in my life. He is an amazing partner and father, and we have maintained such a close family dynamic because of his presence. I am a former elementary music teacher who made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom, and it has been the most rewarding journey of my life. I’m a mom to three adorable toddlers – Chase, who is four years old, Chloe, who is three, and Crew, who just turned 18 months. But the excitement doesn’t end there; we have another little one on the way, and our family will soon be growing even bigger with baby #4 joining us this September!
As a family, we absolutely love to travel and explore new places together. Whether it’s a weekend visit to a nearby state attraction or a week-long road trip to hike through a new National Park, we cherish every moment spent together on these adventures.
In starting The Modern Mom, my aim is to share the valuable insights we’ve gained while traveling with three (soon to be four) little ones, our memory making joys and celebrations, and all things motherhood that happen during our day to day.
Starting this blog is a learning process, and I promise to be transparent as I navigate this new world of content. I am incredibly excited to connect with all of you and build a supportive and welcoming community of like-minded parents who share a passion for exploring the world with their children and being present and mindful in creating memories.
