The Chocolate Spa at The Hotel Hershey
As a mom juggling between family responsibilities and work, finding time for self-care is often a challenge. So when the opportunity arose to visit The Chocolate Spa at The Hotel Hershey for a day of pampering, I jumped at the chance. This luxurious retreat promised two heavenly treatments and a lunch at their exclusive restaurant, making it the ultimate haven for relaxation. The experience exceeded all my expectations and turned out to be the most luxurious spa day I’ve ever had.
Checking In and Preparing for Your Day:
Upon my arrival at The Chocolate Spa, I was welcomed by the friendly staff and checked in for my appointments, which could be scheduled as early as 9:00 in the morning when the spa opens. It’s also worth noting that even if you have a later appointment scheduled, you can check in this early. Once checked in, I was escorted to a private locker area where I received a cozy spa robe, comfortable slippers, and a private locker to store my belongings throughout the day. The changing areas and bathrooms were thoughtfully stocked with everything one might need for a day of indulgence.
Exploring the Spa Amenities:
Before my spa treatments, I took full advantage of the spa’s array of amenities. There were various spaces designed to cater to different relaxation needs. The Aromatherapy Inhalation Room offered a sensory journey to alleviate stress and enhance mood. The Silent Relaxation Room provided a serene environment to unwind and even catch a quick nap. The Quiet Room was perfect for whispering and enjoying views of the hotel’s beautiful gardens while savoring fresh fruit, muffins, and a selection of beverages. Fruit-infused water and teas were also available throughout the spa facilities, offering a refreshing touch between treatments.
The Prenatal Treatment:
As an expectant mom in my 8th month of pregnancy, I opted for the 50-Minute Pre-Natal Cocoa Massage. The massage therapist was well-trained and skilled in addressing the unique needs of pregnant women. Without mentioning my sciatic discomfort, she was able to locate and target the achy and painful areas immediately, providing much-needed relief. The specially designed pillows allowed me to comfortably lay belly down during the treatment, making it both safe and incredibly soothing.
60-Minute Cuban Feet Treatment:
My second treatment of the day was the 60-Minute Cuban Feet treatment, a classic pedicure with a refreshing Mojito Sugar Scrub, followed by a moisturizing treatment and massage. Relaxing in the massaging chair while sipping on hot chocolate and checking out the hotel gardens was everything. The pampering was a welcome treat for my feet, which have been working hard this pregnancy.
Lunch at The Oasis:
After my treatments, I headed to The Oasis, the spa’s guest-only lounge and restaurant, for a lunch buffet. The attended buffet featured a fresh salad bar, tapas, various platters, soup du jour, and signature desserts. It was the perfect opportunity to recharge and enjoy the delicious offerings in a tranquil setting. The Oasis proved to be an ideal place to unwind and relish the moment.
My visit to The Chocolate Spa at The Hotel Hershey was a truly indulgent experience. From the warm welcome to the meticulously designed treatments, and the incredible lunch at The Oasis, every aspect of the spa day was exceptional. Whether you’re an expectant mom or simply seeking a luxurious escape, The Chocolate Spa offers an oasis of relaxation and pampering like no other. I can’t recommend this retreat enough to all the moms out there. If you’re looking for a memorable and soothing spa getaway, The Chocolate Spa at The Hotel Hershey is the perfect destination to unwind, rejuvenate, and treat yourself to a day of indulgence. So, don’t hesitate to book your own escape and create beautiful memories that will stay with you long after you leave this chocolate-infused paradise.
