We recently booked a play session at Captain Hook’s Playroom in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania for the second time this year. It has been challenging keeping up with the three kids as I near the end of my pregnancy, so being able to get out to Captain Hook’s has been a lifesaver. It is a safe and engaging environment for all three of my young kids to explore and play.
Playroom
The playroom is designed to meet the needs of children ages 6 and younger. It offers an array of activities and play areas, from climbing structures and slides to imagination stations. There are plenty of sitting areas for parents to monitor their children at play both inside the play area, or from a high top stool around the perimeter.
Food and Drink
There is a snack area separate from the playroom with toddler tables, high chairs, and adult tables for you to take advantage of when visiting. Pack a snack or lunch to enjoy during your session, or you can purchase from a variety of snack items in their concession area.
The Staff
The staff at Captain Hook’s Playroom is not only welcoming but also genuinely engaged with the children. They help monitor the play area when kids arrive with their families, ensure the facilities remain in clean and organized conditions, and are always ready to assist with questions or concerns.
Affordable Fun
Captain Hook’s Playroom offers a variety of options to suit different budgets. You can book your playtime session online, making it convenient to plan your visit.
- Non-Member Playtime: For $12.72 per child, you get up to 3 hours of playtime. There are morning sessions from 9:00am to 12:00pm and afternoon sessions from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. Additional siblings from the same household enjoy a reduced rate of $10 at the door.
- Saturday Birthday Parties and Events: If you’re looking to host an unforgettable birthday party, you can reserve a 2-hour slot for $100. A $100 deposit secures your spot.
Insider Tip: If you want a less crowded experience, choose an afternoon session as most toddlers and young children take naps at this time. If you prefer a more social experience, be sure to book for the morning.
Additionally, Captain Hook’s Playroom offers monthly memberships:
- 1 Child Monthly Membership: $39 per month for households with one child. Perks include a free shirt at sign-up, 10% off party packages, and early access to exclusive events.
- 2 Children Monthly Membership: For households with two children, the monthly fee is $69. This package includes the same perks as the one-child membership.
- 3+ Children Monthly Membership: Families with three or more children can opt for this membership at $99 per month. The benefits mirror those of the other memberships.
Opening Hours
Captain Hook’s Playroom is open from Monday to Saturday, with modified hours on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays.
